Getting Started with Maxline

Time required: 5 minutes | No credit card needed for the 14-day free trial

Step 1: Create Your Account

Visit app.maxlinesez.com and click "Sign Up". Enter your email, name, company, and password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to confirm your account.

📌 Tip: Use your work email for faster onboarding. Personal emails (Gmail, Yahoo) work too.

Step 2: Verify Your Email

Check your inbox for the verification email from noreply@maxlinesez.com. Click the verification link to activate your account. You'll be automatically redirected to your dashboard.

📌 Didn't receive it? Check your spam folder or request a new verification email on the login page.

Step 3: Upload Your First Document

From your dashboard, click "Upload Document" or drag-and-drop an invoice, bill of lading, or packing list. Maxline accepts PDF, JPG, and PNG files up to 10 MB.

Our AI will automatically extract:

  • Shipper and consignee information
  • Goods description and quantities
  • Invoice value and currency
  • Incoterms and payment terms

📌 Pro tip: Clear, high-resolution documents = better AI accuracy. Avoid blurry or partially obscured data.

Step 4: Review Extracted Data

Once processing completes (usually under 30 seconds), review the extracted data. Each field shows a confidence badge (green = high, yellow = medium, red = low). If a field is inaccurate, click to edit it manually.

Click "Create Declaration" to proceed to the declaration form.

Step 5: Generate Your First Declaration

Follow the 5-step declaration form:

  1. General: Declaration type (IM4, IM5, IM7), office code, nature of transaction
  2. Parties: Importer/exporter, bill-to party, notify party
  3. Goods: Item descriptions, HS codes, quantities, values
  4. Valuation: Freight, insurance, other charges
  5. Review: Final check, confirm the HS code, generate ASYCUDA XML

HS codes are pre-filled by our AI classifier. Verify each code is correct or adjust manually using the tariff browser.

Step 6: Download & Submit

Once you've verified all data, click "Generate ASYCUDA XML". The XML file is automatically created and ready for submission to the Seychelles Customs Authority.

You can:

  • Download the XML and submit it manually to ASYCUDA
  • Save as a draft to finish later
  • Print a summary for your records

Frequently Asked Questions

How many declarations can I create during my trial?

Up to 3 declarations (Starter plan equivalent). This is perfect for testing the system with your actual documents.

Can I edit a declaration after creating it?

Yes! As long as it's in "Draft" status. Once submitted to ASYCUDA, it becomes read-only. Save as draft before submitting if you need flexibility.

What if the AI misclassifies a good's HS code?

The AI provides a classification recommendation with reasoning. You can override it by using the manual HS code browser or entering a code directly. You are responsible for the final classification.

Do I need technical knowledge to use Maxline?

No. Maxline is designed for customs professionals, importers, and freight forwarders with no coding required. Basic familiarity with ASYCUDA is helpful but not required.
